Baby I'm Sorry by Amanda Ranganawa

          Baby I'm Sorry
Written by Amanda Ranganawa

He comes home from work early
And rushes to our bed
Looking hurt and worried
He takes my tiny hands in his strong hands and says
''Baby I''m sorry''
He looks so sad
I keep quiet
He kisses my cheeks and starts to cry
''I wasn't born like this you know,I've never hit a woman.
Baby I'm sorry''
I stay quiet as he takes moments from my life
to display his misfortune
He wipes his tears and looks at me
He kisses my bruised lips and forehead
He kisses my tiny hands again
''Baby l'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you''
He looks at me surprised with my silence
There in his eyes l see a familiar glimpse of impatience
So l smile
The anger that was slowly tracing his body slids down
He smiles back at me
''That's my girl. I knew you would understand.
Go take a bath, I will make you supper''
